Camp in comfort at Graves Farm campground at Michigan International Speedway and you're right at the track!
No more driving your entire team 1/2 hour ea. day. RV Rental packages available for all competing Formula SAE teams.
SAE International will hold its annual Formula SAE competition at Michigan International Speedway on May 5-9, 2020. Teams have been camping at Graves Farm for the past 9 years. We set up RVs and your team will really enjoy this camping experience. It's much better and fun than staying in hotel 30 minutes to an hour away. We have a nice shower house & restroom facility for your entire team to use. 12 shower stalls for men & 12 for women along with many toilets and sinks. No waiting in line for the bathroom or shower. It's truly an advantage to stay so close to the speedway. Just ask other teams such as Rutgers, Clemson, U of Mich, Stuttgart, Brazil, Munich, Georgia Tech, GFR, and U of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cost is only $40 per person per night based on 7 people staying for 5 nights.
Check in Tuesday at 3pm. Check out Sunday at 11am.
Think about this. Most teams drive 20-30 minutes to and from MIS every day during the FSAE competition. A 20 person team spends a total of 60 minutes driving over 5 days. That equals 6,000 hours of wasted time per team. Camp at Graves Farm and save your team time and money. Its more fun and you're 2 minutes away from working on your team's formula car. That's a huge advantage. What's your time worth? Do the math.
The Formula SAE Series competitions challenge teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to conceive, design, fabricate and compete with small, formula style autocross vehicles. Teams typically spend 8 to 12 months designing, building, testing and preparing their vehicles before a competition. The competitions themselves give teams the chance to demonstrate and prove both their creation and their engineering skills in comparison to teams from other universities around the world.
